Owen Sound Senior of the Year - Sharon McKeachnie!

Sharon McKeachnie was nominated jointly by her peers at Owen Sound Minor Lacrosse and Owen Sound Sr. B Lacrosse for her work in the Owen Sound sports community.

She’s been an Owen Sound Sports Hall of Fame inductee since 2014 as a builder of lacrosse and is described by her peers as “a pillar in the Owen Sound lacrosse community” and “I think we could say the Ontario lacrosse community,” Boddy said.

She has held a number of positions including current president of Owen Sound Minor Lacrosse and board member of the Owen Sound Sr. B North Stars. In 2013, the Ontario Lacrosse Association with an award “to the person making an outstanding contribution to the sport of lacrosse in Ontario.”
